SAD DAY

Another picture from my dad. There has been a non life threatening injury confirmed by The Winnipeg Free Press, but no word who or the extent of the injuries.
Please leave some of your favorite memories of the old barn in the comments section....one of my favorite memories would be the shoes being tossed onto the ice after Klipper goals, and hosting a few Provincial Hockey championships and having that big air horn go off when we scored.
I am absolutely shocked and in disbelief of the news that the West Central Events Center in my home town of Kindersley Saskatchewan was lost today. I am speechless

I stole this picture from Janelle McCullough on facebook.

If you have any other pictures please email them to me at dlee@newcap.ca and leave any comments below.

I have a family member, Dayna Demmons, who was curling in the Scotties there so I hope they are all safe. (GOT WORD THAT THE CURLERS ARE FINE)

This one was sent from my dad.

Lakeland 2010 Alberta Winter Games

This week sure is flying by! We are less than a month away from the Lakeland 2010 Alberta Winter Games. Results are starting to come in with regards to people/teams that have qualified to play in the games.
The Bonnyville Pee Wee Pontiacs beat Red Water for the chance to represent Zone 2 at the games. The boys and parents are pumped to be representing the zone as the host city! Good work boys.

That is all I have for right now so if you know of any athletes or teams that have qualified for the games please email me at dlee@newcap.ca

How about that Gold Medal game at the WJHC!!!?? It sure was an amazing game. It got me thinking this morning about the people who are not sports fans. What else is there to watch on TV that can have you happy and excited one minute, cursing and pissed right off the next, then jumping up and down like a little kid, then sitting in silence trying to come up with some way that what you just saw didn't happen???? Its an emotional roller coaster that I absolutely love taking!!!!

Next up....cheering for Team Canada at the Olympics.
